Biography

Xavier Samuel is an Australian actor. He is best known for his roles as Riley Biers in the Twilight Saga film series, Brent Mitchell in the television series Love My Way, and Warren Worthington III / Angel in the X-Men film series.

Samuel was born in Hamilton, Victoria, Australia. He attended St. Patrick's College in Ballarat, where he was a member of the school's drama club. After graduating from high school, he moved to Melbourne to study acting at the Victorian College of the Arts.

Samuel's acting career began in 2003, when he appeared in a short film called "Road Rage". He made his feature film debut in 2006, when he played the role of Riley Biers in Twilight. He reprised the role in the sequels New Moon (2009), Eclipse (2010), and Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011).

In addition to his work in the Twilight Saga, Samuel has appeared in a number of other films and television shows, including Love My Way (2004–2007), A Few Best Men (2011), Anonymous (2011), Fury (2014), and Mr. Church (2016).

Samuel has received a number of awards and nominations for his work, including an AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in A Few Best Men.

Personal life

Samuel is married to actress Emma Lung. They have two children together.
