Vin Diesel (born Mark Sinclair Vincent; July 18, 1967) is an American actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for his role as Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise. Diesel has also starred in films such as The Iron Giant (1999), Pitch Black (2000), XXX (2002), and Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
Early Life and Career
Vin Diesel was born on July 18, 1967, in Alameda County, California. He was raised by his mother, Delora Sherleen Vincent, a psychiatrist and astrologer. Diesel's biological father is unknown, and he has never met him.
Diesel began acting in high school. He attended Hunter College in New York City, but dropped out after three years to pursue a career in acting. He moved to Los Angeles in 1990 and began appearing in small roles in films and television shows.
Breakthrough Role
