Pilou Asbæk
Pilou Asbæk (born 2 March 1982) is a Danish actor. He is best known for his roles as Euron Greyjoy in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2016–2019), Kasper Juul in the Danish political drama series Borgen (2010–2013), and Crazy Rich Asians (2018).
Asbæk was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, to a Danish father and a Polish mother. He began his acting career in 2008, appearing in the Danish film Ronal the Barbarian. He went on to star in several Danish films and television series, including The Killing (2011–2012), Borgen (2010–2013), and 1864 (2014).
In 2016, Asbæk made his international breakthrough when he was cast as Euron Greyjoy in the sixth season of Game of Thrones. He played the role for three seasons, until the show's conclusion in 2019. Asbæk's performance as Euron was praised by critics, and he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2019.
Since Game of Thrones, Asbæk has starred in several Hollywood films, including Ghost in the Shell (2017), Overlord (2018), and Crazy Rich Asians (2018). He also had a supporting role in the 2020 film Mank.
Asbæk is a versatile actor who has played a wide range of roles. He is known for his intense and charismatic performances, and he has quickly become one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood.
