Chrissy Teigen (born November 30, 1985) is an American model, television personality, and author. She first gained fame in 2010 as a swimsuit model for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Since then, she has appeared on the covers of numerous magazines, including Vogue, GQ, and Cosmopolitan. She has also hosted several television shows, including Chrissy's Court and Lip Sync Battle.
Teigen was born in Delta, Utah, and raised in Snohomish, Washington. She is of Thai and Norwegian descent. She began modeling at the age of 18, and quickly became one of the most popular models in the world. In addition to her modeling career, Teigen has also written two cookbooks, Cravings and Cravings: Hungry for More. She is also a vocal advocate for body positivity and self-acceptance.
Teigen is married to singer-songwriter John Legend. The couple have two children together, Luna and Miles.
Career
Teigen began her modeling career in 2004, when she was signed to IMG Models. She quickly became one of the most popular models in the world, and has appeared on the covers of numerous magazines, including Vogue, GQ, and Cosmopolitan. She has also walked the runway for some of the world's most famous fashion designers, including Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, and Versace.
In addition to her modeling career, Teigen has also hosted several television shows. In 2014, she hosted the reality cooking competition Chrissy's Court. In 2015, she hosted the music competition Lip Sync Battle. She has also appeared on several talk shows, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Teigen is also a successful author. In 2016, she published her first cookbook, Cravings. The book was a New York Times bestseller, and was followed by a second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More, in 2018.
Personal Life
Teigen is married to singer-songwriter John Legend. The couple met in 2006, and married in 2013. They have two children together, Luna and Miles.
Teigen is a vocal advocate for body positivity and self-acceptance. She has often spoken out against the unrealistic beauty standards that are often portrayed in the media. She is also a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.
