Personal life

Palmer's parents are Karen and Larry Palmer. She has an older brother, Jackson, and a younger sister, Amanda. Palmer is of Irish, Italian, and German descent.

Palmer began her acting career at the age of 10, appearing in a commercial for McDonald's. She went on to appear in several television shows, including "ER", "Monk", and "Strong Medicine". In 2006, Palmer made her film debut in the movie "Akeelah and the Bee".

In 2007, Palmer starred in the Disney Channel original movie "Jump In!". The movie was a commercial success, and Palmer quickly became one of the most popular young actresses on the Disney Channel. She went on to star in several other Disney Channel movies, including "Tinker Bell", "The Princess and the Frog", and "Let It Shine".

In 2011, Palmer made her Broadway debut in the musical "Cinderella". She received critical acclaim for her performance, and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical.
