Giovanni di Lorenzo
Giovanni di Lorenzo (born 4 August 1993) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Serie A club Napoli and the Italy national team.
Club career
Lorenzo began his career at Fiorentina, but he never made a first-team appearance for the club. He was loaned out to Cuneo and Reggina before joining Empoli in 2015.
Lorenzo made 101 appearances for Empoli, scoring seven goals. He helped the club win promotion to Serie A in 2018 and established himself as one of the best right-backs in the league.
In 2019, Lorenzo joined Napoli for a fee of €25 million. He has since made over 100 appearances for the club, winning the Coppa Italia in 2020.
International career
Lorenzo made his debut for the Italy national team in 2019. He was part of the squad that won the UEFA European Championship in 2020.
