Coco Martin (born Rodel Nacianceno) is a Filipino actor, director, and film producer. He is best known for his roles in the television series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (2011), FPJ's Ang Probinsyano (2015-present), and the films Panday (2017), Ang Panday 2 (2018), and 3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon! (2019).
Martin was born in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines, on November 1, 1981. He attended the University of Santo Tomas, where he studied business administration. However, he dropped out of college to pursue a career in acting.
Martin began his acting career in 2001, appearing in the television series Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay. He went on to star in several other television series, including Ang Panday (2005), Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (2011), and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano (2015-present).
In addition to his television work, Martin has also starred in several films, including Panday (2017), Ang Panday 2 (2018), and 3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon! (2019).
Martin has won numerous awards for his acting, including the FAMAS Award for Best Actor for his role in Ang Panday (2017) and the Gawad Urian Award for Best Actor for his role in Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (2011).
Personal life
Martin is married to Julia Montes. They have a son together named Coco Martin Jr.
