Edin Džeko

Edin Džeko (born 17 March 1986) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Inter Milan and captains the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Džeko began his career at Željezničar in 2003, where he won the Bosnian Premier League and the Bosnian Cup in 2004. In 2005, he moved to Teplice in the Czech Republic, where he spent two seasons before joining VfL Wolfsburg in 2007. With Wolfsburg, he won the Bundesliga in 2009.

In 2010, Džeko joined Manchester City for a fee of £27 million. He won the Premier League title in 2012 and the FA Cup in 2011. In 2015, he moved to Roma on loan, before joining the club permanently in 2016. He won the Coppa Italia with Roma in 2022.

Džeko has made over 100 appearances for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, scoring 64 goals. He was part of the Bosnian squad that reached the second round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
