Ousmane Dembélé (born 15 May 1997) is a French professional footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Barcelona and the France national team.
Club career
Rennes Born in Vernon, Eure, Dembélé began his career in 2010 with Évreux FC 27. In 2013, he moved to Rennes, where he made his professional debut in November 2014, at the age of 17. He quickly established himself as one of the most promising young players in France, and his performances attracted the attention of several top European clubs.
Borussia Dortmund In August 2016, Dembélé signed for Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €35 million. He made his Bundesliga debut in September 2016, and quickly became a regular starter for the club. In his first season at Dortmund, he scored 6 goals and provided 12 assists in 32 league appearances.
Barcelona In August 2017, Dembélé signed for Barcelona for a fee of €105 million, making him the second-most expensive player in the club's history, after Neymar. He made his La Liga debut in September 2017, and scored his first goal for the club in October 2017. He has since become a regular starter for Barcelona, and has won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey titles, and one Supercopa de España title with the club.
International career
Dembélé made his international debut for France in September 2016. He was part of the French squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and he scored a goal in the final against Croatia. He has since become a regular starter for France, and has made over 20 appearances for the national team.
Playing style
Dembélé is a versatile winger who can play on either flank. He is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and ability to create Chancen for his teammates. He is also a good finisher, and he has scored over 50 goals in his career.
