Personal life

Igor Krutoy was born on July 29, 1954 in Gayvoron, Kirovohrad Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union (now Ukraine). He began playing the piano at the age of six and studied at the Kirovograd Music College. After graduating, he worked as a music teacher and accompanist.

In 1981, Krutoy moved to Moscow and began working as a composer for the pop group Veselye Rebyata. He wrote many hit songs for the group, including "Alexandrina" and "The Iceberg". In 1987, he left Veselye Rebyata and began working as a solo artist.

Krutoy has released several solo albums, including "The Songs of Igor Krutoy" (1989), "Love Will Save the World" (1991), and "The Best of Igor Krutoy" (1994). He has also written songs for many other artists, including Alla Pugacheva, Sofia Rotaru, and Valery Leontiev.

In 1998, Krutoy founded the Igor Krutoy Academy of Popular Music in Moscow. The academy offers training in music production, songwriting, and performance.

Krutoy has been married three times. His first wife was Elena Krutaya, with whom he had a son, Nikolai. His second wife was Olga Krutaya, with whom he had a daughter, Victoria. In 2013, he married Olga Krutaya, a Russian model and singer.
