Álvaro Morata (born 23 October 1992) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Atlético Madrid on loan from Chelsea, and the Spain national team.

Morata began his career at Real Madrid, making his debut in 2010. He spent two years with the club's reserve team, Castilla, before being promoted to the first team in 2012. He won La Liga and the Copa del Rey in his first season with the club, and the UEFA Champions League in his second.

In 2014, Morata joined Juventus for €20 million. He won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia titles, and the Supercoppa Italiana in his two seasons with the club.

In 2016, Morata returned to Real Madrid for a fee of €30 million. He won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League again in his first season back at the club.

In 2017, Morata joined Chelsea for a club-record fee of £60 million. He won the FA Cup in his first season with the club, and the UEFA Europa League in his second.

In 2020, Morata joined Atlético Madrid on loan for two seasons.

Morata has made 40 appearances for the Spain national team, scoring 20 goals. He was part of the Spain squad that won the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and the 2019 UEFA Nations League.
