Shahrukh Khan (born 2 November 1965), also known by the initialism SRK, is an Indian actor, film producer, and television personality. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential actors in Indian cinema. Khan has acted in over 100 Hindi films, and has won numerous awards, including 14 Filmfare Awards.

Khan was born in New Delhi, India, to Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, a freedom fighter, and Lateef Fatima Khan, a homemaker. He has an elder sister, Shehnaz Lalarukh Khan. Khan attended St. Columba's School in Delhi and Hansraj College in Delhi University.

Khan began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in several television shows. He made his film debut in the 1992 film Deewana. The film was a commercial success and Khan won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
