Armando Christian Pérez (born January 15, 1981), known professionally as Pitbull, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is known for his Latin-influenced dance music and has sold over 65 million records worldwide. Pitbull has won numerous awards, including five Billboard Latin Music Awards, two American Music Awards, and a Grammy Award.

Pitbull was born in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents. He began rapping in Spanish and English at a young age and released his debut album, M.I.A.M.I. (short for Money Is a Major Issue), in 2004.
