Ángel Di María (born 14 February 1988) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a winger for Serie A club Juventus and the Argentina national team.
Di María began his career at Rosario Central in 2005, before moving to Benfica in 2007. He spent three seasons with the Portuguese club, winning the Primeira Liga and Taça da Liga in 2010. In 2010, he joined Real Madrid for a fee of €25 million, where he won the La Liga title in 2012 and the Copa del Rey in 2011 and 2014.
In 2014, Di María moved to Manchester United for a British record fee of £59.7 million. However, he struggled to adapt to English football and was sold to Paris Saint-Germain a year later for a fee of €63 million.
Di María spent seven successful seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, winning four Ligue 1 titles, five Coupe de France titles, four Coupe de la Ligue titles, and three Trophée des Champions titles. He also helped the club reach the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2020.
In 2022, Di María joined Juventus on a free transfer.
Di María has represented Argentina at the FIFA World Cup on three occasions, in 2010, 2014, and 2022. He also helped Argentina win the Copa América in 2021.
Di María is known for his dribbling skills, passing ability, and goalscoring prowess. He is considered one of the best wingers of his generation.
