Monique Coleman

Monique Coleman is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She is best known for her role as Taylor McKessie in the High School Musical film series. She has also appeared in films such as The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005-2008), Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh (2008), and Party on the Moon (2009).

Coleman was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She began taking dance classes at the age of three and was a member of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's junior company. She attended Columbia High School and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2006 with a degree in theater.

Coleman's acting career began in 2003 with a small role in the film The Fighting Temptations. She went on to appear in a number of television shows, including Boston Public, Malcolm in the Middle, and That's So Raven. In 2006, she landed the role of Taylor McKessie in High School Musical. The film was a huge success, and Coleman reprised her role in the sequels High School Musical 2 (2007) and High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008).

After High School Musical, Coleman continued to act in both film and television. She starred in the films Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh (2008), Party on the Moon (2009), and Lemonade Mouth (2011). She also appeared in a number of television shows, including Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and The Suite Life on Deck.

In addition to her acting career, Coleman has also pursued a career in music. She released her debut album, "The Adventures of Monique Coleman," in 2009. She has also toured with the High School Musical cast and performed at a number of events, including the 2008 NBA All-Star Game and the 2009 Presidential Inauguration.

Coleman is a role model for many young people. She is an advocate for education and has spoken out against bullying. She is also a member of the board of directors of the National Black Arts Festival.
